Garachico is a municipality in the northwestern part of the island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, and part of the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is located about 85 km SSW of the island's capital, NW of Los Cristianos and Las Américas of Arona and about 65 km NNW of Reina Sofia Airport.

The population is 5,756 (ISTAC, 2003), its density is 135.28/km² and the area is 29.281 km². The elevation is 10 m. Garachico is linked north of the TF1 superhighway and is linked with a highway linking Adeje and Icod de los Vinos and west of the TF2 superhighway and also near the highway linking Adeje and Icod de los Vinos. Farmlands are in the valley areas and within the Atlantic, the mountain and the hills are surround El Tanque.

The main economy are agriculture. A beach and a port is located north of the town hall of Garachico
